HD Brows treatment process

   Consultation

From brushed up brows to neat and defined, choosing the right brow look can be difficult. That’s why every HD Brows treatment starts with a consultation where our Stylists help you based on your face shape, skin tone and of course, your style.

   Tinting

Unlike a regular eyebrow tint, we’ll apply the tint around the brow to pick up those fair and fluffy hairs you didn’t even realise where there. We custom-blend our bespoke HD Brow Dyes to create the perfect tone to complement your skin tone, hair tone and overall style.

   Waxing

Your stylist will begin to create your dream eyebrow shape through waxing, using our exclusive design formula. They’ll keep in mind any areas where you may want to re-grow hair, working towards your long-term brow goals.

   Threading

Next, your stylist will create a smooth, neat finish with threading. In the HD Brows treatment, we use threading to remove any fluffy hairs above and below the brow to ensure there’s no tell-tale signs of waxing.

   Tweezing and finishing

We’re perfectionists, so this is where we work to make those fresh brows even fresher. If necessary, your stylist will tweeze any stray hairs, trim unruly hairs down and create a finish that suits your style using our brow make up range.

   Aftercare

Your stylist will finish the treatment with some aftercare advice to help you maintain your results, along with some product recommendations. This is especially important if you’re on a re-growth programme, working towards your dream brows.

Still Have Some Questions?

The effects of the treatment usually last around 4-6 weeks, however this can vary depending on your hair growth. After your first few treatments your stylist will be able to recommend how often you should be having the treatment done.
Our stylists work with you on a regrowth programme to achieve the perfect brow shape. In the meantime, you can fake it with make up application, demonstrated by your stylist during the treatment. Wed recommend you use a Lash & Brow Booster to encourage hair growth which is available in our Retail Boutique.
The treatment is not classed as semi-permanent, however we do use permanent tint on the brows during the treatment. The lasting effects of this vary depending on skin type, hair growth and skin care routine. Results of the HD Brows treatment typically last around 4-6 weeks.
Due to EU law, you can’t have your brows tinted under the age of 16. Don’t worry, you can still have the treatment done from the age of 13 (with parental consent, of course) however we would just need to skip the tinting stage.
You will be required to carry out a tint patch test prior to your first appointment with your us. You will only need to re-take the patch test if there is a six month break between treatments, or you have changes to your medical history.
This completely depends on the amount of hair you have to begin with. Your HD Brows stylist will be able to advise how many treatments they recommend to give you the brows you eventually want during your first consultation.
For some, the perfect brows might just be one treatment away. However those with sparse or over plucked brows may need to be put on a re-growth programme. Your stylist will inform you on the areas needed to grow in so the shape can be improved at each appointment. You’ll also be shown how to apply make up to any gaps in your brows until your dream brow shape has been created.
In the first 24-48 hours, as part of your HD Brows aftercare, we recommend:
• Avoiding excessive rubbing or touching of the treated area for 24 hours
• Avoiding contact with direct sunlight, and the use of sunbeds, saunas, steam rooms and swimming pools for 48 hours after your treatment

In the days leading up to and following your HD Brows treatment, we also recommend:
• Avoiding exfoliating (both acid exfoliators and scrubs) and anti-ageing products around the brow area for three days either side of your treatment
• Avoiding fake tanning products on the face for three days either side of your treatment
After these time frames, feel free to carry on as normal. You can always contact us with any questions.

Redness after eyebrow waxing and eyebrow threading is completely normal and a common side effect. It’s simply a slight irritation of the follicle from where the hair has been removed and should subside over the course of the day. There’s not much you can do to speed up the time it takes to settle, but there are things you can do as part of your eyebrow threading aftercare which should help.
Avoiding the use of exfoliators (such as scrubs and glycolic acid) or anti-ageing skincare (such as retinols) for three days either side of your HD Brows treatment will help to reduce any skin sensitivity. If you have naturally sensitive skin, please let your Stylist know and they will be able to apply a barrier to protect the skin when waxing.
If you’re prone to those pesky spots or bumps after waxing, there are a few simple tricks to avoid these from popping up. Applying the SOS Rescue Brow Balm around the brow following your treatment can help to soothe the skin and reduce the risk of threading spots. Your pores are more open following a hair removal treatment, so it’s best to avoiding touching the treated area and applying make up for 24 hours, as they may lead to clogged pores.
Although redness, bumps and slight sensitivity are completely normal, it’s important to contact your HD Brows Stylist immediately if you experience any swelling, itchy rashes, bruising, grazes or cuts.
